Our Code of Conduct.
To guarantee a smooth data exchange, all NautiX users must comply with the following rules and Guidelines.
Quality.
Each feed must comply with the specified standard.
Responsibility.
It is the sender’s responsibility to check the feed for accuracy.
Validation.
Feeds may only be sent once they have passed the Validator Test.
Mandatory Information.
Source.
NautiX feeds may not be chained.
Images.
Free.
Images must be delivered without watermarks and in their original size.
Participants are committed to sending/importing without adding any cost or complications.
Information.
Feeds must always contain the broker’s current data.
Professional.
All Nautic Network Partners operate their sites on a commercial basis and have been in business for at least three years.
Guidelines
Predefined Email Address
Each Nautic Network partner must provide a central email address for feed requests and XML exchange: feeds@domain.tld
This email address ensures continued communication even if the contact person changes.
Request a Feed (Import)
Import requests must be made by email. The data owner (usually the broker) must be sent a copy (carbon copy) of the feed request.
Exporting of NautiX Data
Nautic Network partners must be technically capable of exporting data in NautiX format. They must be willing to export data to other Nautic Network partners. In specific cases, exports may be rejected with justification.
Importing of NautiX Data
Nautic Network Partners must be technically capable of importing boat-related data in NautiX format. They must be willing to import data from other Nautic Network Partners. In specific cases, imports may be rejected with justification.
Establishing effective data exchange is a long-term endeavour. Single imports are not allowed.
Validation
Exporting Nautic Network Partners must validate their feed using the Validation Tool when exporting it for the first time. Only valid feeds will be passed on.
Importing Nautic Network partners must validate a feed when importing it for the first time. Invalid feeds will be rejected.
